SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — State officials are extending the seasonal closure of part of Brantley Lake State Park in southeastern New Mexico.
The State Parks Division said Wednesday the Seven Rivers Day Use Area will remain closed through April 27.
State Parks Director Tommy Mutz said the closure will allow staff to focus on other areas of Brantley Lake State Park and prepare for summer visitors.
The park is about 12 miles north of Carlsbad.
